Coshocton Wedding
Coshocton is the county seat in Coshocton County, OhioGR6. The population was 11,682 at the 2000 census. The Walhonding River and the Tuscarawas River meet in Coshocton to form the Muskingum River.
Coshocton contains the restored canal theme town Roscoe Village, Ohio, a tourist attraction showcasing the area's unique canal history, situated next to the former Ohio and Erie Canal.
Unfortunately Roscoe has not been terribly successful at generating income for the community. The mainstay industries of the town are slowly closing. Although the apparent strategy of encouraging a diverse blend of industries rather than one large industry has slowed this dissipation it does continue and unless Coshocton is successful at developing an economic base aside from manufacturing it may grow less and less a desirable place to live. The relatively low level of college education in the area has made it very difficult to attract more skilled businesses to the area. Coshocton is located at 40164N, 815124W (40.267786, -81.856628)GR1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 19.7 km (7.6 mi). 19.4 km (7.5 mi) of it is land and 0.3 km (0.1 mi) of it (1.45%) is water.
